ETU Uaisele has vowed to force his way back into Jimmy Lowes' plans and see out the remainder of his contract at the Bulls.

The Tongan arrived at Odsal from Featherstone 12 months ago on a two-year deal and quickly established himself in the side.

He scored nine tries in 16 appearances but the arrival of Omari Caro and James Clare pushed him down the pecking order.

Uaisele subsequently joined Dewsbury on loan for the rest of the season in July and he enjoyed his time with Glenn Morrison's men.

Nevertheless, Uaisele has returned to Bradford for pre-season training and is determined to make an impression on head coach Lowes.

Uaisele said: "Going to play for Dewsbury was a kick up the backside but it has got me ready for this year. I thought I performed well for Morro and hopefully I now get that chance at Bradford.

"The main thing is to get through the pre-season games without getting injured. It's just a matter of getting that opportunity again to show what I've got."

Uaisele was happy with his performances in a Bulls jersey earlier this year but says he also understood Lowes' decision to send him to Dewsbury.

The 30-year-old said: "I support whatever Jimmy does. I've spoken to him about next season and he has just told me to get my body right.

"If I do that then I think everything will fall into place. I really want to fight for my spot at Bradford – but not just on the wing.

"As I've said before, I can play centre and I did that at Dewsbury. I really enjoyed it because it allows me to get more involved in the game.

"I think I play my best rugby there and it will be tough, but I'll be doing my best to get a spot here at Bradford."

Uaisele will face stiff competition for a place on the wing and in the centres, with Kris Welham’s arrival this week boosting Jimmy Lowes’ options further.

Dane Nielsen, meanwhile, joined the Bulls towards the end of last season and signed a deal keeping him at Odsal for the 2016 campaign.

The former NRL centre is currently back in Australia due to personal reasons but is expected to return to Bradford before the start of the season.
