MITCH Clark reckons he is already reaping the benefits of being in a full-time environment at the Bulls.

The imposing Kiwi forward arrived from Doncaster on a two-year deal and began pre-season training on Monday.

The son of former Bradford Northern forward Trevor Clark said: “I was only part-time at Donny last season and it’s a lot more intense here, but I’m embracing it.

“I’m looking forward to the results of being full-time and hopefully getting a starting spot in the team.

“I’m sure the work I’m doing will take me further than being a part-time player.

“It’s always been like a dream for me to come to the Bulls, so it’s exciting.

“I was only two when my dad was playing at Bradford, so I don’t remember seeing him play, but I’ve watched videos.”

Doncaster were the whipping boys of the Championship last season but Clark impressed against the Bulls at the Keepmoat Stadium in April.

He added: “It was definitely a tough season at Doncaster because everyone would have their heads down after games and at training.

“But we had a dig and I personally I tried my best to get stuck in and show what I could do.

“We played the Bulls at the Keepmoat and I guess they liked what they saw. We really turned up that day.”

On his best position, Clark added: “I can play second row but I’m most effective in the middle at loose forward or prop.

“I have a high work-rate and like getting stuck in. I’m going to grab this opportunity with both hands.”

The Bulls’ squad are to undergo more fitness testing at the John Charles Centre for Sport in Leeds today.
