OMARI Caro must have wondered what he had let himself in for when facing Sheffield Eagles last month.

It was his Bradford debut but quickly became a waking nightmare as his new side found themselves 22-6 down at the break.

Caro watched the first 40 minutes from the bench before entering the fray early in the second half after the Bulls had just conceded another try.

It was not what he had signed up for when he agreed to join the Bulls until the end of the season but tomorrow’s visit of the Eagles is a chance for redemption.

“Nobody likes to lose and we’ve got a chance to right those wrongs on Sunday,” said the former London Broncos and Hull KR winger.

“We just couldn’t hold the ball in that first half against Sheffield and they punished us.

“It will be the same again this weekend if we make mistakes because they’re a good team.

“Personally I didn’t get much game-time that day, so I haven’t got to work on my performance but I can build on the last few weeks.”

Caro’s next game in a Bradford jersey was a far more enjoyable experience as he helped himself to a hat-trick in the thrilling 36-36 draw at home to Leigh.

“I’ve enjoyed every minute of my time here so far,” added Caro.

“The lads, the coaching staff and the set-up are really good.

“It’s just about improving every week on the little things that maybe not everyone will notice, but Jimmy and the coaching staff will.

“Now I’ve got a few games under my belt, I know the level I can do that and it’s just about kicking on now.”

The recent addition of Caro, James Clare, Matt Ryan and Dane Nielsen, coupled with the return of key men such as Lee Gaskell and Jake Mullaney, has encouraged hopes that Bradford can secure an immediate return to Super League.

“There is a lot of quality in the squad,” said Caro.

“Everyone can perform so it’s about playing well when you get the chance and staking a claim for your place in the team.”

Caro is keen to stay beyond the end of this season, adding: “We’ve not really discussed it because it’s just about getting some game-time first.

“Hopefully I can sit down and discuss things with Jimmy in the next few weeks because I absolutely love it here. I want to stay, 100 per cent.”
