HARRY Siejka will be missing for the Bulls’ Super 8s opener at home to Sheffield after Jimmy Lowes revealed: “He’s still not right.”

The Australian half-back was sidelined for ten weeks after being cruelly struck down by injury during the home win over London Broncos on April 12.

He twisted his right ankle, suffering ligament damage and a fractured tibia, which reduced him to the sidelines at a time when he was beginning to look comfortable in a Bulls jersey.

Siejka returned to action against Workington on June 21 but has since struggled to shake the injury off and was wearing a protective boot at training yesterday.

Fit-again Lee Gaskell and Jake Mullaney could form the half-back partnership for the visit of the Eagles and Matt Ryan is in line for a debut in the back row.

Lowes said: “Harry’s not far off but he won’t be ready for this week. We’ve got several options at half-back and in other positions too.”

Dane Nielsen got his visa through yesterday and is due to arrive in the UK over the weekend, putting him in contention to face Wakefield next Saturday.

Lowes added: “We’ll assess Dane when he gets here on Sunday. He’s a very experienced player who has played at the top with Melbourne Storm, New Zealand Warriors and playing State of Origin for the best part of ten years.”
