CHEV Walker has urged the Bulls to start sticking to the game-plan ahead of Sunday’s visit of leaders Leigh.

The club captain blasted the team's first-half performance at Sheffield and admitted the players failed to heed Jimmy Lowes’ pre-match message.

Walker said: “In the first half we were a shambles, myself included, and I don’t know what it was down to.

“But in the second half we showed what we were about and some character to fight our way back into it.

“We need to find a way of doing that from the start because we talk about it all week but we’re probably just paying lip service to it at the minute.

“As long as we deliver our game-plan and buy into what Jimmy has told us all week, then we walk off the field happy.

“We’re just not delivering that game-plan and it’s not good enough.

“Jimmy is a thorough coach and he puts together the tactics but it’s us boys who keep straying away from it.”

Victory for Leigh would secure top spot for Paul Rowley’s side and Super League official James Child has been appointed to referee the match.

Walker added: “It’s a massive game – not because it’s Leigh but because it’s at home and it’s only two games away from the Super Eights.

“The added spice is that it’s Leigh so we need to be on our guard regardless.

“We need to be ready for play-off football and get our discipline with our game-plan right and how we go about our business.”

The Bulls will make an announcement to supporters at this evening’s fans forum in the conference and banqueting facility, which begins at 7pm.

There is expected to be news on player contracts and possible developments on the club’s bid to buy back the lease on Odsal from the RFL.

Keighley Cougars, meanwhile, have signed rookie Huddersfield prop Tyler Dickinson, 19, on loan for the rest of the season.
