ADAM Sidlow believes the Bulls' remaining league fixtures will provide the ideal dress rehearsal for forthcoming battles in the Super Eights.

The end-of-season lottery is coming into increasingly sharp focus ahead of three regular-round games which will determine whether Bradford or Leigh finish top.

Bulls boss Jimmy Lowes takes his men to Sheffield tomorrow before next Sunday's visit of current leaders Leigh and then a final-round local derby at Halifax.

All three matches are against sides in the top four and Sidlow feels the intensity of them will prepare the Bulls nicely for the all-important play-offs.

The Odsal prop said: "These next three games are a good dress rehearsal for when we enter the Super Eights and come up against Super League teams.

"Hopefully we can win all three and try and find top gear going into the play-offs.

"No disrespect to Hunslet, but putting nearly 70 points on them isn't going to get us promoted. When we're playing the likes of Wakefield, Salford and Hull, it's going to be completely different.

"Running up big wins gives you a bit of confidence – but we'll just take each game as it comes and hopefully have some momentum going into the Super Eights."

Although Sidlow is focused on Sheffield tomorrow, he said of next Sunday's visit of Leigh: "We owe them one.

"We built up a commanding lead at half-time in the opening game and then ended up losing. We certainly didn't want to start the season like that.

"To be fair, Leigh's record speaks for itself. They beat Salford and Wakefield in the Challenge Cup and they ran Warrington close.

"You've got to give them respect but at the same time they have got to give us respect. We're going to take it to them when we play them next week."

The Bulls will hand a debut to Omari Caro against Sheffield at the Keepmoat Stadium after signing the former Hull KR man on a short-term deal until the end of the season.

Sidlow said the winger's arrival had given the squad a boost in training this week.

"A new player coming into the club always gives you a lift and Omari is going to bring enthusiasm to the team," he said.

"You feed off that when you're playing next to him and it will be good for the team.

"I've played against Omari a few times down the years when he has been at London and Hull KR.

"He's big and he's fast, so when you add that together, he's hard to tackle. He should be able to get us on the front foot."

Sidlow has started every game this season with the exception of the Workington league fixture at Odsal in March owing to a knock.

Moreover, he has played big minutes as one of the Bulls' starting props alongside Paul Clough.

"It's quite tiring during the games but if that's what Jimmy needs me to do then I'll carry on doing it," said Sidlow.

"If Jamie Peacock can do it at the age of 37, then I can't complain as a 27-year-old, so I'll try my best.

"Could I see myself doing this in ten years' time? If the money's right! I've got a big family, so I'll do my best and try and stay in the game for as long as I can."

Meanwhile, Chris Ulugia has joined Batley on loan until the end of the season.

The 23-year-old, who can operate at centre, full back and on the wing, joined the Bulls on a two-year deal from Mackay Cutters.

He has made six appearances this season but has fallen down the pecking order in recent weeks and also played for League One outfit Oxford on dual registration.

Former Bulls star Paul Deacon has joined Aviva Premiership rugby union outfit Sale Sharks as attack/skills coach with immediate effect.

The 36-year-old has been a member of the Wigan coaching staff for four years since retiring from playing in 2011 and also works as assistant to Steve McNamara with the England team.

Deacon spent the majority of his playing career at Odsal, making 324 appearances for the Bulls.

Former Huddersfield boss Jon Sharp is back in coaching after being appointed by Featherstone, just hours after formally leaving his post as head of match officials at the Rugby Football League.

The 38-year-old former Hull and Featherstone forward has been unveiled as the successor to Andy Hay, who parted company with Rovers in the wake of their surprise home Championship defeat to Dewsbury last Sunday.
