CHRIS Ulugia has joined Kingstone Press Championship rivals Batley Bulldogs on loan until the end of the season.

The 23-year-old, who can operate at centre, full-back and on the wing, joined the Bulls a two-year deal from Queensland Intrust Super Cup side Mackay Cutters.

He has made six appearances this season but has fallen down the pecking order in recent weeks and also played for League One outfit Oxford on dual registration.

The former Parramatta junior arrived in the off-season from the Cutters along with forwards Dave Petersen and Karl Davies.

Of the three, only New Zealand-born Ulugia has made a first-team appearance for Jimmy Lowes’ side this season.

Petersen is currently on loan at Sheffield Eagles and Davies is not expected to play this season.

Samir Tahraoui and Adam Brook are to spend the rest of the campaign at Keighley and Nathan Conroy is set to do likewise at Dewsbury Rams.
