ADAM Sidlow has signed a new two-year deal and urged his side to make a massive improvement if they are to win promotion.

The Bulls prop, one of the club’s most consistent players this season, has committed his future to the end of 2017.

Sidlow was signed by Francis Cummins from Salford ahead of the 2013 campaign and he has often spoken of his happiness at Odsal.

The 27-year-old, who has also worn the captain’s armband this season, penned a one-year deal for the 2015 campaign following the Bulls’ relegation last term.

Sidlow said: “I love Bradford and I think the club reignited my career when I signed from Salford under Franny.

“They have shown faith in me again and hopefully I have been rewarded for some good stuff this year.

“Adrian Purtell and Chev Walker do a really good job [as vice-captain and club captain] but if I am called upon, I try to throw my two pence worth in and buzz the boys up.

“I did not look elsewhere. Bradford came in early and let me know that they wanted me, so I was happy to sign because I love it here.

“Jimmy has really brought my game on. He has given me a lot of confidence, lots of game time and I think that has shown in my game. I hope that it has, for the fans.”

Jimmy Lowes’ men are desperate to win promotion via the end-of-season lottery that is the Middle Eights.

The Bulls are understood to be seeking to bolster their squad with new recruits ahead of the promotion-deciding phase of the season.

Sidlow accepts they must start hitting top form soon if their dream is to be realised.

“The Middle Eights are going to be tough,” he said.

“You have probably got the likes of Halifax, Sheffield, Leigh, maybe London and then you have got the Super League clubs as well.

“It is going to be tough and we are going to need to step up our form in those games.

“Super League is the only place this club should be, competing with the likes of Wigan and Saints, like we used to.

“Hopefully in the near future we can pick up some trophies again.

“Behind the scenes it is going really well and the fans are really coming back as a force everywhere we go. They are really loud and are like an extra player.

“On the field, we are playing well but we can play better and hopefully we will be on fire by the Middle Eights.”
