JIMMY Lowes admits tomorrow's trip to Doncaster is a "potential banana skin" as the Bulls aim to heap more misery on the Championship strugglers.

Dons player-coach Paul Cooke was named Championship coach of the year in 2014 after a highly impressive campaign which saw his side finish fourth in the table. They were also the only side to beat Leigh.

But this season Cooke's men lie bottom of the league after nine straight defeats – yet Lowes is wary of the threat posed by the part-timers, who could hand a debut to new signing Matt Groat.

The 23-year-old Aussie prop arrives at the Dons with a high pedigree, having represented West Tigers 17 times in the NRL before moving to St George Illawarra in 2013.

Lowes said: "Every week is a potential banana skin – it's just how we prepare for that.

"They've got one or two decent players and a new signing, so we've just got to respect every team we face as we did against Hull KR last week. If we do that then we will give anyone a run for their money.

"Doncaster have been close to victory a couple of times at their place and we expect it to be pretty tough down there. With Paul Cooke in charge, they're a team who are not going to lie down.

"We've talked about some of the positive stuff from the Hull KR game and we need to continue that momentum."
