IT is great to be going into this weekend’s Challenge Cup tie against Hull KR on the back of nine successive victories.

The grounds are getting harder now and the speed of the game is getting quicker, which is good news for us.

I’ve been struggling with my hamstring for the past month so the pitches drying out should certainly help me as a winger.

There is no doubt that Hull KR will provide us with a major test and it will show us how good we really are.

I know a few of their lads such as Albert Kelly, Terry Campese, Mitch Allgood and Kenny Sio, from playing with or against them back home at Parramatta.

They have quality throughout their side and have gelled together well as a team despite having so many new faces.

Make no mistake, it’s going to be a very hard game when you look at the quality that Hull KR have at their disposal.

It’s good when you play against players like that, though, because you have to be on your game and you have to be alert.

It will be a tough test for the team and a tough test for me as well.

There are little things I need to work on in my game but I have scored in my past two appearances and I’ve got to be happy with that.

Against London last Sunday, I came inside looking for the ball and to get more involved because I’m sort of wasted if I just stand out on the wing.

I have been working with Jimmy in the last couple of weeks and to get the best out of me I have to go looking to gain possession. That’s why you now see me going where the ball is to try and get it.

There is big competition in our squad. You do need to play well every week otherwise you’re going to miss a couple of weeks, which is not a good thing for us as players.

It was pleasing to get a try against London and if the opportunity to score is there this weekend you can be sure I will take it.
