IT was good to ultimately beat Workington so emphatically last Sunday and I think we know what to expect from them this week.

We made the errors in the first 20 minutes but to still come up with a win like that shows you we are looking good.

We’ve got to take our game up a level now and if we do that then I think we will be sweet, although I think Workington will be a better side this week than last.

I came off the bench in the second half and my hamstring felt absolutely fine, so it was just good to get some game-time.

The boys are playing well and everyone is fighting for a spot, I haven’t got the opportunity to play this week so I’ve just got to try and force my way back into the team.

The competition keeps you on your toes and I’m versatile with the ability to play in the centres, where I did well for Sheffield last season.

I enjoy playing in that position and if I get a chance to play there I’ll grab it with both hands – in fact I can’t wait to play there again!

The Challenge Cup fifth-round draw was made this week and it’s an exciting tie against Hull KR.

It should be a good test for us to see where we are at because they have some top players.

When I was at Parramatta, I played with the likes of Terry Campese, Albert Kelly, Mitch Allgood and Kenny Sio.

They’ve got a very good side and hopefully we will give them a good game when they come down here.

This week marked a year to the day since Marc Green took control and, from hearing stories about what the club was like 18 months ago, it’s apparent he’s turned things around.

I get on with Marc really well because we have similar happy-go-lucky personalities and it would be fantastic news for everyone involved with the club if he bought back Odsal.
