ASIDE from all the sin-binnings against Leigh last weekend, it was a great game to play in and a fantastic atmosphere.

I think in a lot of ways both teams perhaps set the standard for the Championship during the game – and it was a really high standard.

I'm pretty sure the other teams will be watching Bradford and Leigh and be ready to bring their top game when they play us.

I played in the Championship last season with Featherstone and Sheffield but last Sunday was probably the best game I've ever played in at this level.

It was two good sides showing what they have got in a very intense encounter.

I'm sure other teams have got different styles of play and we will probably find that out this week when we play Whitehaven.

I played against them last season and they gave us a tough game in the first half before we ran away with it in the second.

They are a big side and they are always going to bring it to you, so it goes without saying that we will give them all the respect they deserve.

On a personal level, it was good to score my first try of the season in the opening game.

I love crossing the try-line, especially when we have so many fans turning up to support us!

It would be great to get a few tries on my home debut this weekend and I'm looking forward to it because I have never played at Odsal before.

We need to take it up a level this week because we do not want a repeat of what happened at Leigh – good in the first half and then losing our way in the second.

We know this weekend is an opportunity to lay down a marker at Odsal and show people what we are about.

We are the Bradford Bulls and the Whitehaven game is a great chance to give our fans something to shout about. So bring it on.
