STEVE Ferres has admitted the Bulls are looking to increase their workforce and put "key people in key positions".

Bradford's managing director says he is delighted with the squad and coaching staff that has been assembled since the club were relegated from Super League.

But he stresses that, in other areas of the business, greater expertise is needed as the Bulls seek to make an immediate return to the top flight.

"Significantly, we have strengthened in a few areas but, outside the football department, we need more people," said Ferres.

"That will evolve as the business grows and we can put key people in key positions.

"But I think we've got an outstanding coaching team and an outstanding facility at Tong.

"The players appreciate that because they are buying into the culture that has been created at the club.

"There are still issues which keep cropping up that we have to deal with but they're becoming less and less. There is now a more positive vibe around the place."

Meanwhile, Ferres expects Jimmy Lowes to use his entire 30-man squad – injuries permitting – in the three upcoming friendlies against Castleford, Huddersfield and Leeds.

"With playing three Super League teams in friendlies, we've given ourselves a difficult start," said Ferres.

"But Jimmy will probably give the whole squad a run-out in these games and then we start the season with a game at Leigh.

"Everybody is building up to peak fitness and I think it's fair to say that we are all itching to see them play now."
