STEVE Ferres has praised the Bulls players for helping to boost season-ticket figures after the club passed the 2,300 mark in 1863 Members Club purchases.

Jimmy Lowes’ squad were in Bradford city centre yesterday pushing sales as the Bulls seek to reach the 4,000 number they say is needed to break even next year.

Ferres said: “I want to pay tribute to them for buying into the culture and the ethos of the club under Marc Green.

“They are putting in appearances in various guises and are very receptive to helping promote the club.

“That’s credit to them and they are good individuals as well as good rugby players.

“You can’t always say that but we believe we’ve got a squad of good individuals.”

the pre-season friendlies, we expect more people will buy their membership with money they got for Christmas.

“We’re still hopeful that we can reach the 4,000 figure that we set and the sales of shirts probably gives a fair indication of how things are going.

“Over 500 home shirts were pre-ordered and it was the same with the away shirts. They are absolutely flying off the shelves, so we’ve sold well over 1,000 shirts.”
