THE BULLS have passed the halfway mark in their quest to sell 4,000 season tickets for 2015.

The 1863 Members Club was launched in September when chairman Marc Green announced that number of memberships must be sold for the Bulls to break even next year.

Husband and wife pair Michelle Baker and Gareth Beckwith have now become the 2000th and 2001st members respectively of the 1863 Club.

They received a signed 2014 home jersey and a Bulls ball as prizes after buying season tickets at Odsal for the first time.

Gareth said: “We feel very privileged to be part of the 1863 Members Club and are lucky to be the winners of two fantastic prizes.

“This is a fantastic initiative and represents a new era for the club, which we are eager to be a part of.”

Michelle added: “I have watched Bradford for a number of years but is the most excited I have been about the Bulls for a long time.

“Myself and Gareth are really looking forward to cheering on James Lowes and his players next year, as they look to make an immediate return to Super League.”

Green said he was delighted with the response of supporters as they seek to move towards their target figure.

He said: “We have surpassed not only the 2,000 barrier but more so the 50 per cent mark in terms of our membership sales targets.

“Passing the milestone in such a quick time – with more than two and half months to go until the start of the new season – is frankly inspiring.

“It is great to see our support base continuing to grow and strengthen and it is particularly pleased, in Gareth and Michelle, to have on board two brand-new members, who have never committed their support in this way ever before.”

More than 12 per cent of members signed up for 2015 have arrived as new customers or have not held a Bulls season ticket for over three years.

Odsal will today host the 1863 Members Day, where season-ticket holders can collect their membership packs.

The event kicks off at midday and the entire first-team squad will be present as head coach Jimmy Lowes announces his club captain at around 4pm.

Supporters who attend will also see the 2015 away shirt from 1.30pm following an 'On The Sofa' session with Matty Blythe.

There will also be an announcement from sponsors Provident about next year's Summer Bash.
