FORMER Bradford Bulls star Sam Burgess shrugged off a broken cheekbone to produce a man-of-the-match performance as South Sydney Rabbitohs beat Canterbury Bulldogs 30-6 to win the NRL Grand Final.
Burgess's 22-year-old twin brothers George and Thomas, who also both used to play for Bulls, enjoyed key roles in the victory, with George scoring a second-half try.
Sam, who moves to rugby union side Bath later this month, was injured in an early clash with fellow Englishman James Graham but he stayed on to help the Rabbitohs to a first NRL title in 43 years.
