MANASE Manuokafoa admitted his last-gasp try in Saturday’s win at London Broncos marked a fairytale ending to his Bulls career.
The Tongan prop had not touched down since scoring against the Broncos in a victory at Odsal in July 2012.
But he was on hand to support Adam O’Brien’s excellent break and crash over in the last minute amid jubilant scenes.
“That was probably the best feeling of my career,” said Manuokafoa, who will now join Widnes on a two-year contract.
“Adam did superbly well to set me up and I owe him a couple of pints for that, as I had not scored for two years.
“We’re a tight-knit group and you could see that in the celebrations.
“When I went over, it meant a lot to the boys and to me, so it was pretty emotional.
“We had started the game well, but obviously London came back strongly and we had to dig deep.
“Did we want to end the season like that or did we want to stand up and perform?
“Credit to the boys. We dug deep and got the two points.”
Manuokafao has spent three years at Odsal but is among over a dozen players who will now depart.
He added: “Bradford will always have a special place in my heart and I’ve had an awesome time here.
“The club and the fans have been very good to me and I’ve really enjoyed my time here. I would like to think I will improve further at Widnes.”
