BRAD Adams realised a dream when he made his Super League debut on Sunday but the Bulls teenager admits: "I have no idea what happens next."

The home-grown centre from Birstall made his bow in the defeat to Widnes as reward for an impressive campaign in the Academy side.

But the 19-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and as yet there is no sign of a new one.

"I don't know where I go from here and I'll just have to wait and see what happens," said Adams.

"I'll be too old for the under-19s and if a contract comes about, then it will be great news.

"Nothing has been mentioned so far so I'll just take it as it comes.

"It would be my dream to get a full-time contract and I've always said I would love to be a full-time professional rugby player."

Adams began his career at Leeds Rhinos at the age of 12 but joined Bradford five years ago aged 14.

"I had the option of signing back at Leeds, going to Bradford or joining Castleford," he recalled.

"Bradford spoke about bringing young lads through and the potential to give players opportunities. I just thought 'this is the club for me' and I've never looked back since.

"I've done okay in the under-19s in the past couple of seasons. Last year was a bit up and down but this season has really been my year.

"I've been one of the senior boys, so I've been trying to help the young lads out and take a more senior role."

Adams was thus rewarded with a starting role in Sunday's visit of Widnes and showed signs of promise, breaking the line in exhilarating fashion during the first half before his errant offload put paid to the move.

"I think I got a bit over-excited when I was breaking away and thought I could look for the man inside, but maybe should have taken the tackle," he said.

"It was a new experience for me but I tried to take it in my stride and give 110 per cent. What more could I do?

"It's a big step up because you're up against some big lads who are very physical.

"I just tried to do my best and I can't do any more. I was over the moon to get the opportunity."
