ADAM Sidlow is aiming to show Salford supporters what they are missing this weekend – and at the same time drag his old club into a relegation dogfight.

The 26-year-old prop joined the Bulls from Salford on a two-year deal ahead of the 2013 campaign.

His arrival went some way towards filling the void left by the departure of Craig Kopczak, Bryn Hargreaves and Tom Burgess and came at a time when Salford were embroiled in a financial crisis.

Much has changed since then, not least Marwan Koukash’s takeover and lavish spending spree on the renamed Red Devils, but both Sidlow’s former and current employers find themselves struggling at the wrong end of the table.

Sidlow, however, is adamant that Bradford can register the wins they need to beat the drop.

“If we get a good run going then we believe we can stay up, so I don’t see why other people shouldn’t believe it too,” he said.

“The next couple of games for us are massive against Salford and Hull KR.

“We really need to be on our A-game because we beat Wakefield and then weren’t good enough against Warrington last week.

“Salford are just above us and we want to go there and win because it’s dog eat dog.”

Sidlow will play at the AJ Bell Stadium as a Bradford player for the first time tomorrow having missed last year’s trip through injury.

He was happy to leave Salford at the end of 2012 after struggling for regular first-team action under Phil Veivers.

“At the beginning, I enjoyed it at The Willows but I wasn’t happy towards the end of my time there and that was one of the main reasons why I left,” remembered Sidlow.

“Bradford saw I wasn’t playing and Veivers said I wasn’t in his plans, so that’s why I came here.

“Have I any regrets? None whatsoever.

“I love it at Bradford and I wouldn’t change a thing since I’ve been here, even now in the position we’re in.

“I love the lads and it’s great to be here. I’ve got plenty of game-time, either coming off the bench or starting, and I’m just happy to be playing.

“The training is good and all the lads get on really well, so I don’t know why you would want to leave really.

“It’s not our fault that the points have been taken and we can’t do anything about that other than play well on the pitch.”

Sidlow, who scored for Salford in a 20-20 draw with the Bulls in May 2012 and then touched down for Bradford against his old club at Odsal earlier this season, will face one of his heroes tomorrow in Adrian Morley.

He said: “When I was growing up, the props I admired were Stuart Fielden, Jamie Peacock and Adrian Morley.

“It’s great to play against those players and hopefully I can come out on top this weekend.

“In terms of my own form, I’ve been hit and miss really. I’ve had a good few games but I wasn’t happy with my performance against Warrington last week.

“Now I’m raring to go to beat Salford this weekend. They would be right in the mix if we get the win.”
