Five First Utility Super League players, including Hull KR’s Justin Poore, have been charged with offences after the weekend’s round-six action.

All the charges come at Grade B or higher, with Hull captain Gareth Ellis and Poore both cited for Grade C offences.

Poore has been charged for a dangerous throw on the Bulls’ Matty Blythe, while Ellis has been sanctioned for a shoulder charge on Widnes captain Kevin Brown.

Former England international Ellis can submit an early guilty plea by 11am tomorrow but Poore, who has already been banned this season, cannot and must face the Rugby Football League.

St Helens players Kyle Amor and Jon Wilkin have also been reprimanded ahead of their side’s top-of-the-table showdown with Leeds Rhinos.

Amor has been given a Grade-B charge for a reckless high tackle against Wakefield and can make an early plea, while Jon Wilkin cannot for a similar offence in the same game.

Widnes’ Willie Isa has also been given a Grade-B citing for recklessly striking Hull’s Aaron Heremaia.

B Grade offences carry one-to-two-match bans, with a two-to-three-match tarriff on Grade C ones.

The League also announced that six players had been given formal warnings, including Chris Bridge (Warrington Wolves) for striking fellow former Bull John Bateman of Wigan Warriors in the 39th minute of their match.
