Bradford Bulls: Double whammy as now luckless Platt is KOd by knee injury

Michael Platt was knocked out in a tackle on Jason Crookes at Hull FC on Sunday
Michael Platt could be set for a spell on the sidelines after sustaining a knee injury during Sunday’s defeat at Hull FC.
The winger suffered concussion after being knocked out in the act of tackling former Bulls team-mate Jason Crookes into touch shortly after the ten-minute mark at the KC Stadium.
But it was revealed yesterday that Platt also picked up a knee injury during the same challenge, making him a major doubt for Saturday’s home game against Castleford.
Bulls coach Francis Cummins said: “I don’t think the concussion is going to be the problem with Platty. The problem is he’s got a bad knee and if you see the incident again you will see what I mean.
“We don’t know the extent of it yet but he’s pretty sore at the moment. We’ll go through the process of assessing him and see where we are.”
Platt’s premature departure forced a major reshuffle, with Jamie Foster switched to the wing, Brett Kearney pushed to full back and Danny Addy brought on to partner Jarrod Sammut in the halves.
Cummins, who reported no other new injury concerns, must now decide whether to keep faith with that formation.
He also revealed that Adrian Purtell has been registered to go on loan at Dewsbury ahead of his anticipated return to action next month.
Cummins said: “Officially Adrian’s on loan to Dewsbury as we speak and we’re now waiting for the Border Agency to okay it.”
Meanwhile, Castleford stand-off Rangi Chase will miss Saturday’s trip to Bradford after picking up a two-match ban for a reckless strike during his side’s win over champions Leeds.

Simple solution would be to bring Whitehead into centre and Blythe to Wing, we have adequate cover in the second row department.
So no problems.

A must win game 3 how desperate. On a successful note City got back to winning ways in my absence.

leave BK &Sammut in the halves, Foster at FB and replace a winger with a winger not a second row (Addy at Hull) - if we ain't got a squad winger, then Pryce on the wing is a better option than Addy at SO

I suggest Chev Walker to the centres and promote the young fellow Murphy to the bench.
