Bulls owner Omar Khan believes the club are fast becoming an integral part of the local community once again.

Khan vowed to make the Bulls a community club following his arrival in September and he says they are coming good on that promise.

The Bulls squad visited Bradford Royal Infirmary this week, where they handed out festive gifts to children.

Khan said: “We’re working with the community now – going out there and meeting people to ensure we are a community club.

“You can see the passion and feel the buzz around the club.

“People are thinking ‘this is a club that’s going places’.”

Khan recently joined social networking site Twitter and has over 1,000 followers, many of whom are Bulls fans.

He will hold a special Christmas party for his followers in the Coral Stand at Odsal tomorrow night.

Khan added: “The reason I joined Twitter was to keep in touch with the fans. I don’t get much time go on Twitter, and I’m new to it, but every so often I’ll go on and interact with the supporters.

“Gerry (Sutcliffe) is picking it up as well and we are slowly getting there.

“It’s a good way of keeping in touch with the fans and they can talk about whatever they want with us.

“It’s good fun and I manage to tweet something every day.”

Meanwhile, it has been confirmed the Bulls’ home game with Castleford on Saturday, February 16 will be televised by Sky and kick-off at 4.45pm.
