Christmas is coming early for lucky Bradford Bulls fans thanks to the club’s very own Santa Claus.

On the back of requests from supporters, Bulls joint-owner Omar Khan has extended the deadline on the season ticket discount by two weeks.

Mr Khan told the Telegraph & Argus yesterday that the early-bird offer would now run until 5pm on December 1.

The original offer expired last Wednesday.

A festive-feeling Mr Khan said: “Quite a few people came up to me in person, and on Twitter, and asked if we could extend the deadline because they wanted to buy season tickets as Christmas presents for family, but they said they didn’t get paid until the end of the month. So I thought it would be a good idea. This is what the fans wanted.

“So for all those people that asked, this is their early Christmas present from me.”

Mr Khan said the “six or seven” fans who bought a season ticket after the original November 14 early-bird deadline would get some money back.

The club is aiming to sell at least 10,000 season tickets before the 2013 season starts in February.

So far, said Mr Khan, the club had sold “just over 4,000”.

“We need to achieve 10,000,” said Mr Khan. “What is important is a big fan base, being in Super League, controlling Super League, and showing we are one of the largest clubs.

“We want a good turnout every week. The bigger the fan base, the more weight we carry.”

The cheapest adult early bird price for the Terrace is £180. Early bird season ticket prices for adults are: Terrace £180, Tetley’s Stand £225, Premier Club £270. If bought after December 1, adult ticket prices will go up to £220 at the Terrace, £275 at the Tetley’s Stand and £330 at the Premier Club.
