'It all went downhill when Jewell left'

The Wetherall Years: Everybody blames the "six weeks of madness" as the reason why it all went wrong for us in the Premiership.

But by far and away the biggest mistake the club made was losing Paul Jewell. For me, that was the beginning of the end for us in the top division.

You don't realise how good something is until it's no longer there and that was definitely the case with Paul.

I was absolutely devastated when I heard the news.

I'd just got back from holiday and there was a message on the answerphone from Paul saying that he was off. I couldn't believe it after what we had achieved but, with what had gone on, he was right to go.

Unfortunately his exit really set us back. No disrespect to anybody else who took over but he was such a massive part of that first season.

Seeing what followed during the summer, I'm sure the signings would have been very different if he had still been in charge.

And as has been widely said, we've been paying the price ever since in more ways than one.

yes we have been paying the price as we have only just managed to break even, paul would have researched players not on hear say because they were big names we didnt know they could perform in the premier league.

I know Paul very well... and yes things went pear shaped when he left, but Paul was relieved to go, and GR gave him a way out, which he took gladly.
Superb Manager, which will again be proved next year!!!

The clues are starting to appear about these two ladies. If you know about City past and present it shouldn't take too much working out who these little lasses are and why they are so bitter about BCAFC.

so that's it - your a Richmond fan! that explains your bizarre and inexplicable campaign against the current people in charge of BCFC.

not even going to get into a debate of how wrong you are.

Rung up Dave Baldwin yet? thought not. why would you want to speak to the new regime when you've already made up your mind and don't want the facts to get in the way.

pathetic

Read the Headline. It went downhill and now is in free fall. Why McCall, Why Jacobs, Why Weatherall - just to get the 'supporters' to support. Perhaps a good business move but in no way a good football move as it has already shown, same old words. "It will come good next season."

Alert! Alert! Sensible has taken a story and twisted it to fit an argument of his. City are NOT in freefall. We (Club and fans) are in the process of rebuilding and the longer we take getting it right, the longer we will spend up there (championship and hopefully beyond).

Its in the best interest of getting the supporters to support the club. I believe they call it business. What is a 'good football move' other than a sissors kick into the top corner. Sensible! can we have facts, figures, examples or useful suggestions from you?

Must agree about Jewell but would also like to comment it is on its way up now under McCall and the current board.

Which other team can clame to have their best ever player/captain, most consistent ever and long serving left back, a player in Weathers that captained them through the dark days and two chairman who quite clearly love the club preparing the club for matters on the pitch?

Answers on a postage stamp please?

The list of players that are signing for this club is filling me with excitement for the coming season. If anyone finds any odds so soon on city's chances of promotion next year please let me know..

Think everyone will have gathered by now that sensible and his crew have not made the Phone call to Dave Baldwin as he kindly offered them chance to do. For anyone that carried any credibility for these tit$, you surely can no longer.

I put £10 on City for promotion in the forthcoming season. I got odds of 16/1. Just after we released the unlucky for some 13!

So NOTSO sensillbelly, what is the miraculous plan you have to turn the fortunes round. Respond giving a clear financial stratergy based on sound economics with projections based on different variable outcomes. Then clarify who should manage, who should play, what the club colours should be, which stewarding policy etc. Until you can come up with something reasonable please press the delete button before you post.

well put, no wage and STILL going to scrape the money together to support the Mighty Bantams.

Maybe someone like this should be given a FREE ticket for their undoubted loyalty to the Claret and Amber - Ginger Army.

William Hills obviously would not take a bet. You can't bet on non runners. City are always referred to as a Club and not the limited company. If they want to be a club lets have a look at the books. See language is typical of the supporters associated with the club. Keep calm fellas as it can only get you DOWN (the league).
