I’M REALLY hoping to be involved against Crewe tomorrow and help the lads get that home win we need.

It has probably been the most frustrating injury I’ve had because I still felt I could do everything. It was a freak accident but the recovery has gone well.

I’ve been back in training and feel really good and can’t wait to be out on that pitch again.

It’s hard watching, especially when the result doesn’t go for you. The manager works so hard during the week to prepare the team and I just want the lads to do well.

A draw with Port Vale wasn’t a bad result in the end but we want to get back to the stage when teams can’t even come here for a point.

We know that if we do the basics right and perform as we have done at home, then we should be able to beat any team whether they are top or bottom.

It looked a very harsh penalty. Rozzer was that close he couldn’t get his hand out of the way.

But full credit to the lads for grafting their way back and the point was a fair result in the end. Now we’ve got to find that little bit more.

It’s crazy to go away from home, where it’s meant to be harder, and get decent results while it’s not happening for us at Valley Parade at the moment.

If everyone can find that extra ten per cent to raise their game, I know we will be fine.

Playing the bottom team can be one of those awkward games. Crewe have had a bad run but the manager very rarely talks about the opposition through the week.

He lets you know about the players you’ll be up against but it’s more about what we do and how we perform. We must be on our game.

It doesn’t matter whether it’s Bristol City, Peterborough or Crewe tomorrow, if we aren’t at it as a team, then anybody can beat us.

But I’ve been in the changing room with the boys this week and I know they are desperate to get a win.
