Leyton Orient is the blueprint to how we must play at Rotherham tonight.

We went to a very strong team with our backs against the wall and everyone expecting us to get turned over.

But instead we all stuck together and outworked the opposition. We defended like lions, the midfield ran everywhere and the strikers held the ball up well.

These are the things we’ve got to do again to get a result. We can’t afford to carry anyone.

Last week was frustrating for everyone. We came off a great win at Orient and then should have beaten Coventry, who were there for the taking.

Maybe two hard away games caught up with everyone but I don’t know what happened against Oldham. You go out there to do your best and sometimes it just doesn’t work out.

But there’s no better game to bounce back than Rotherham away with everybody watching on Sky Sports. It’s an occasion to thrive on.

We owe a performance against them – for ourselves and the fans. We know our record against Rotherham has been very poor.

Our form on the road seems to have got a little better over the past four to six weeks and we’ll go there and play with our hearts on our sleeves. Anything less isn’t good enough.

There’s always an edge to Rotherham games and you’ve got to give them credit for a great season so far.

A lot of people dislike the manager and some of the things he does can leave a bitter taste in the mouth. But you’ve only got to look at his record to see that he gets results at every club he’s been at.

Rotherham have probably missed out on the top two now but they’ll want to put one over us again. But we’re not going to roll over this time.

We’re coming to win – and they had better be ready.
