We’ve already played Burton three times this season so the teams know each other very well.

But even though we only beat them the other week, what has gone before means nothing.

This is a new competition and a fresh start for everyone. It’s all about how you handle the occasion and the pressure of play-off football.

We’ve got to make sure we turn up tonight, play some good stuff and get the result we need.

The atmosphere at Valley Parade is going to be good. I personally can’t wait to see how many are going to turn out and cheer us on.

It was fantastic to see so many of our fans at Cheltenham. At one point when they were singing, one of their lads turned to me on the pitch and said: “We’re meant to be the home team here going for promotion and you would never know.”

It’s going to be extra special because we know what’s at stake. It will be like those big cup nights and hopefully we can use that experience. We’d love to emulate the performances we put on during some of those earlier in the season.

But it’s also important that as players we don’t get carried away by the excitement. While you want to perform well, you must also keep a cool head and not let the emotion of the occasion get on top of you.

There are two legs in this tie. We obviously want to win the first one tonight but you don’t want to over-commit. It’s about striking the right balance.

Burton have got some good players and they have been up at the top all season for a reason. We’ve got to respect that fact but we also know what we can do.

As I’ve kept saying all along, it’s about us and how we turn up and perform.

Some people may look at it and see we’re the team in form. I don’t think any of the Burton players will be looking forward to playing us.

But I wouldn’t say we are favourites. It’s a pretty even playing field and anything can happen.
