Sir Titus Salt statue adorned for Capital One Cup final
8:00am Wednesday 20th February 2013 in Capital One Cup Final – Bradford City v Swansea
The statue
It appears Saltaire founder Sir Titus Salt is backing Bradford City at Wembley on Sunday.
The statue of the industrialist in Robert’s Park at the World Heritage Site has been given a makeover, which means he is now wearing a Bantams scarf and holding a Bradford City flag.
Eagle-eyed Telegraph & Argus readers have sent in photographs of the statue’s transformation into club colours in preparation for City’s Capital One Cup final against Swansea on Sunday.
One of those, Dan Palmer, who posed in front of the statue, said Sir Titus was ‘ready for Wembley!’
