Readers can wish Bradford City good luck in the club’s Capital One Cup final at Wembley when a giant Bantams’ shirt stops at the Telegraph & Argus on Friday.
The giant shirt, produced by The Co-operative, will be available to sign at our Hall Ings reception, along with a selection of ‘good luck’ cards, between noon and 2pm.
The company’s ‘Good Luck in the Cup Campaign’ is taking a 20 metre by 20 metre shirt, and two smaller ones, around schools, businesses and shopping centres to show the League Two club how much support is behind them.
The Lord Mayor of Bradford, Councillor Dale Smith, yesterday added his best wishes to the shirt, which will be handed to supporters to take to Wembley for the match against Swansea on Sunday, February 24.
He and Bradford Council staff wrote messages of support when it stopped at City Hall. “We are so proud of the club and all they have achieved so far,” he said. “Let's hope they can lift the cup for us. I have every confidence.”
The Big Shirt signing is part of a two-week tour organised by The Co-operative, which sponsors a stand at the club.
