Luke Oliver recovered from his hip injury to regain his place in the middle of City's back four for the derby with York.
Oliver came in for Rory McArdle, who has joined up with Northern Ireland for their World Cup qualifier in Portugal on Tuesday.
Nahki Wells and Nathan Doyle also returned to the starting line-up after coming off the bench in the JPT win at Hartlepool.
Wells replaced Garry Thompson and Doyle took over from Ritchie Jones. Once again, Phil Parkinson stuck with the 4-3-1-2 formation with Alan Connell playing behind the front two.
With resources stretched, the seven-man bench included Scott Brown as well as Adam Baker.
CITY: McLaughlin, Darby, Oliver, Davies, Meredith, Doyle, Ravenhill, Atkinson, Connell, Wells, Hanson. Subs: Jones, Thompson, McHugh, Baker, Hines, Brown, Duke.
