Nialle Rodney scores for City against Avenue in last year's Tom Banks Memorial Trophy
Bradford Park Avenue will defend the Tom Banks Memorial Trophy at home to neighbours City at Horsfall Stadium tomorrow night (7.45pm).
The match represents the Bantams’ final pre-season friendly before their first competitive fixture at Notts County in the Capital One Cup on Saturday.
Avenue, whose league season does not start until August 18, won last season’s encounter between the sides 3-2.
Tickets are £10 adults, £6 senior citizens and students, and £2 for under-16s.
Meanwhile, second-placed Liversedge will hope to climb even higher in the early Baris Northern Counties East League Premier Division tomorrow night.
Following their opening-day 2-0 win at Lincoln Moorlands, they host Maltby Main in their first home game of the new season. Their visitors lost at home to Barton Town Old Boys in their first outing.
Brighouse Town and Thackley also both won on day one but they had home fixtures and are on the road tomorrow. Town are at Parkgate, who took one point from their first fixture, and Thackley travel to Scarborough Athletic, who will be looking for a second victory after winning away at the weekend.
Guiseley have their penultimate friendly fixture as the Blue Square Bet North Division does not start until August 18. The Lions, who confirmed the signing of 16-year-old former Sheffield United youth defender Macaulay Parkinson today, head to Evo-Stik Division One North outfit New Mills.
