City face a reality check with tomorrow’s examination at Oxford, Peter Jackson has warned.

The Bantams boss must ensure there are no heads still in the clouds after running Leeds so close in their Carling Cup thriller.

Having lost the opener to Aldershot, Jackson wants to get City’s league campaign up and running against a fancied side who also faltered first time out.

And he will tell his players to forget their Elland Road heroics and focus on the job in hand.

“It’s a big test for them all because they’ve had a lot of praise over the last couple of days,” said Jackson.

“I don’t like giving players praise when they’ve just lost a game but you can take the positives out of it and you do pat them on the back.

“Now they have to take that (level of performance) down to Oxford and not leave it here. They can’t just turn up and think we’ll be like the other night.”
