Peter Taylor made another five changes as City looked to restore home faith against Port Vale.

Two were enforced - James Hanson was ruled out with a hamstring injury while Omar Daley was away on international duty with Jamaica.

Lee Bullock, Louis Moult and Steve Williams were also dropped to the bench.

Jake Speight made his first league start after proving the only shining light of the miserable defeat to Southend last week.

And Leon Osborne was included on the bench for the first time since suffering a thigh injury at Ashford in pre-season.
