HOT prospect Jacob Hanson's return to action was the main talking point from City's development squad match against Walsall, with the game ending in a goalless draw.

Hanson has broken into the Bantams first team this season and played 66 minutes of their home clash with Northampton in League One on January 13. Unfortunately, glandular fever has kept him on the sidelines since then.

He managed 65 minutes on his comeback and he was joined in the team by fellow professionals Danny Devine, Callum Gunner, Kai Breunker and Joel Grodowski, who all played the full 90 minutes.

Yet despite City fielding a strong team, Walsall proved to be stubborn opponents throughout the game at Birmingham County FA's Ray Hall Lane. There was little in the way of chances as the two sides cancelled each other out.

This was Bradford's seventh game in Northern Group A of the Central League and their first draw of the season. They currently sit in second place, 12 points behind leaders Port Vale but with four games in hand.

Grodowski has been in particularly good form, netting in both of the development squad's previous two wins – a 3-2 victory over Doncaster Rovers and a 3-0 thumping of Hartlepool United.

He fired a blank this time but will be keen to get back on track in their next fixture away to Mansfield on February 27.
