THE name Moore is synonymous with Rotherham – and City won't be too disappointed if it is missing from the team sheet tomorrow.

Giant targetman Kieffer Moore is a serious doubt with a groin complaint that forced him off during the 5-1 midweek thrashing of Walsall.

With six goals under his belt already, he would be a major miss for the Millers, who head across Yorkshire on the back of three successive wins.

The 6ft 5in frontman is not the only attacking concern, as winger Jon Taylor reported a calf strain after scoring twice on Tuesday.

Yet boss Paul Warne is more optimistic that the man whose goal ended their 512-day wait for an away win a fortnight ago at Portsmouth will be fine for derby action.

Like the Bantams, Rotherham are sharing the goals around at the moment – and midfielder Lee Frecklington helped himself to a first career hat-trick as they walloped Walsall.

He said: "I'm delighted to have that milestone. I've had two on a couple of occasions before but never managed to finish it off until now."

Rotherham followed up that Fratton Park success with back-to-back home victories and are gathering pace after a sticky start to life back in League One.

On-loan Brighton midfielder Richie Towell has been a key component in that after opting for a Millers move over City.

The Bantams were in for the Irishman on deadline day but he had already made up his mind to head for the New York Stadium.

Towell had been on his way to another club, understood to be Charlton, when Rotherham made their late move.

He said: "I was actually on my way to do a medical somewhere. I got a phone call to say Rotherham were interested and I just turned back around and came here.

"I spoke to the gaffer as I was a driving back and there was only one place I wanted to be after that. It was late – I signed maybe at 10pm. It was about nine when I got the call."
