DARREN Ferguson insists Doncaster will not be taking tonight’s Carabao Cup tie lightly.

Promoted Rovers opened their League One campaign with a goalless draw against Gillingham and Ferguson is not planning to make many changes.

He said: “It’s another game we want to win, at this stage of the season player needs games as teams are not up to full fitness until the later part of the month.

“We will take a good number of fans with it being local and it is a game I am looking forward to.

“I’ll play what I feel is my strongest team and one, which once I’ve had a good look at Bradford, I feel can progress to the next round.”

Ferguson handed debuts to three players on Saturday, with Danny Andrew and Ben Whiteman starting and Rodney Kongolo coming off the bench.

He added: “I thought they were good. Danny Andrew gives us something we missed last season, as well as real quality from set-pieces and a long throw.

“Ben can play in a variety of positions and is so good at passing the ball.”
