TONY McMahon buckled up for City's next crack at the play-offs and warned: We're the team to be scared of.

The Bantams will have to wait until after the League One finale at Rochdale on Sunday to find out who they will face in the semi-finals.

As it stands, Scunthorpe or Fleetwood are the most likely opposition after City made sure of finishing at least fifth.

McMahon scored twice in Saturday's 3-0 cruise past Wimbledon, which also clinched the club's first unbeaten home campaign since 1977.

He insists there will be no letting up in the countdown to the play-off opener ten days from now.

McMahon said: "We're delighted to finally cement our place. The momentum is with us and we'll keep going. We've secured the play-offs and we've got to finish the job next week against Rochdale to hopefully leapfrog a place and get the second leg at home.

"We haven't feared anyone all season and that won't change. If we play our style and we're on top of our game, we're a match for anyone. There are teams looking at it who don't want to face Bradford in the play-offs."

Rochdale are still in a three-way fight for sixth place with Millwall and Southend, who both lost at the weekend.

McMahon, who wore a black armband in respect for his former Middlesbrough team-mate Ugo Ehiogu, said: "That brings them right back into it and they'll be having a real go – but so will we.

"We were all disappointed to lose at Sheffield United last week. There aren't many times when we've let ourselves down like that.

"But we knew we had to bounce back and Saturday was the perfect reaction. It was a proud moment for me to get two goals but the clean sheet pleased me just as much after conceding three (at Bramall Lane).

"We're ready for the play-offs again but first let's get next week out of the way. We'll concentrate on ourselves and prepare properly as we always do and aim to go to Rochdale and win."

Stuart McCall plans to consult with chairman Edin Rahic on how the Bantams decide to play it over team selection at Spotland.

McCall has hinted he is not too concerned about playing the second semi-final at home if it means the chance to rest players next weekend.

The City boss said: "I'll speak to the owners and see their opinions of how we go next week. I know how I would but we'll sit down and discuss it.

"I didn't even know when the play-offs were – through superstition I didn't want to. The lads informed me it's next Thursday and Sunday and there are two schools of thought.

"Do you try to get fourth so you can get the second leg at home, or do you rest players so they don't get injured? There are different ways to look at it.

"Barnsley finished sixth last season, played Walsall at home (first) and beat them 5-2 – and put the tie to bed. It can work both ways.

"The two sides we can probably meet are local and there's no long travel to Southend or Millwall or wherever. I'm not over-minded if we are home or away first – but whoever we play, we'll be ready."
