STUART McCall was delighted with a first clean sheet for two months as City battled to a 1-0 win over Peterborough.
Alex Jones was credited with the only goal after forcing the ball home when keeper Luke McGee could not hold Mark Marshall's shot. Charlie Wyke had initially been given it after firing in the rebound.
McCall said: “Even when I saw it on the video, I wouldn’t know who to give it to. But the referee and linesman clarified it was Jonesy.
“The goal was a bit like the first half, a bit scrappy.
“But for us to get a clean sheet today was terrific defending, not only from the defence but the whole team.
“It was a bit of a throwback to my day when you didn’t used to have all these formations. It was always 4-4-2 and you’d have to win your own battles.
“We won the majority of them and I think we merited the result with our second-half performance.”
