STUART McCall says City are not getting hung up about the number of draws.

The Bantams boss admits he has never experienced a season like it as a player or manager.

They go into tomorrow’s home clash with Peterborough having drawn 17 times in League One, including seven of the last eight games at Valley Parade.

It is a remarkable record – even more so given the open style with which McCall encourages City to play.

He said: “I know when people have had lots of goalless draws and you get games that have had 0-0 written all over them from the first kick.

“But we’ve been involved in 0-0s that were never like that – Port Vale on the opening day, Charlton and Scunthorpe could all have had a lot of goals. There’s probably only Bolton away when it was really tight.

“We’re not setting out to get draws. We certainly won’t go into these last 11 games thinking about it like that.

“There’s no hang-ups about it. The time to analyse it is probably at the end of the season when you can look back and hopefully don’t rue them.

“Without going over old ground, we know we should have more points and we haven’t.

“So we just focus on what we can impact on and that’s obviously the next game.”

The Posh are six points behind City and in that gaggle of teams looking to break into the top six.

Ahead of Tuesday’s 2-2 draw with MK Dons, McCall felt four points would be a good return from the home double-header.

He added: “A win would make it a good week but it’s always easy saying that.

“Peterborough were probably unfortunate to lose at Millwall the other night. They tend to set up quite positively and we need to be on top of it.

“The mood with the players is fine. We all realise we were up against a decent side the other night.

“You only have to look at results all over in this division. You might think certain ones are gimmes but it doesn’t work out like that.

“You’ve got to take every game on its own merit.

“We weren’t at our scintillating best the other night but we were unfortunate to concede the two goals we did.

“It was good that we bounced back each time. It would have been nice to get our noses ahead and then look to be a little bit more solid.

“But trying to win games, you’re always going to be open to the counter which they were good at.”
