CITY will make a late call on Billy Clarke, Stuart McCall said this afternoon.
The striker did not train with the squad today but reported some improvement in his tight calf.
And McCall is prepared to hang on before making the decision on whether the top scorer will be okay to face Northampton at Valley Parade tomorrow.
McCall said: "Billy’s better today which we hoped he would be.
"He didn’t join in training but he’s desperate to be involved.
"We’ve got another couple of bumps and bruises from Saturday, so we won’t name the team list until prior to kick-off tomorrow.
"There will be a couple of changes anyway but we’re not ruling Billy out. It’s not a tear in the calf and it’s a lot less tighter now.
"In another 24 hours he might come in bouncing so no decisions have been made.”
