VALLEY Parade will have a new name for next season.

Coral Windows have decided not to renew their long-time title sponsorship beyond the end of the current contract.

City have drawn up brochures offering the stadium rights on a three-year deal.

“We’ve already put our feelers out to a couple of potential sponsors,” said chief operating officer James Mason. “But we may also toy with the idea of going back to basics and just calling it Valley Parade.

“There’s merit in that, although money talks in football these days. If we receive a good offer, it can only assist Phil Parkinson’s budget so we are actively looking.

“We are eternally grateful for Coral Windows’ involvement with Bradford City. The two names have become synonymous but we fully understand their decision.”

Valley Parade has been known as the Coral Windows Stadium for the past nine seasons.

The Bradford-based company took over in the summer of 2007 following Stuart McCall’s appointment.

But they have been linked with City for 14 years, since first sponsoring the club’s centre of excellence.

Coral Windows managing director John Valente said: “After so many years of partnership with the club, we will be sad to leave the stadium. But we know we are leaving them in a much stronger position than when we started.

“The time has come for Coral to develop other strategies across a wider geographical area.

“This move will also allow someone else the opportunity to be associated with this prestigious club in the future and inject new ideas for future success.”

With City boasting the second largest audiences in League One, Mason is confident there will be takers.

He added: “The stadium is getting fuller every week with more people coming into it. We’re hopeful of 18,000 to 20,000 regular visitors next year.

“If we are challenging in the top six again, we will only get more publicity.

“Bradford City’s name is en vogue in the past couple of years with the cup runs. We have become the media darlings to some extent.

“So we feel now would be the perfect time to come on board for any business looking to grow their brand.”

City are hoping to secure a sponsorship deal on the shorts of their new kit. An inaugural former Bantams golf day is also being planned for September.
