FRUSTRATED Phil Parkinson admitted City should have been “out of sight” after a late sickener at Shrewsbury.

Ben Williams misjudged a free-kick and allowed Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro a free header to level after the Bantams had battered their hosts all game. Jamie Proctor’s goal had been scant reward for their control.

Parkinson said: “We dominated the game, played really well and created numerous chances. I couldn’t have asked for much more in terms of the way we played.

“We’ve had a disallowed goal, which I don’t think should have been, and our customary two penalty appeals again, the keeper’s made numerous saves and we’ve had 17 corners.

“It’s not as if we scored and were holding on. We kept driving forward the whole afternoon.

“We should have been out of sight but one lapse of concentration has proved costly.”
