IT’S that time again for fans to have their say over Bradford City’s player of the year.
And early indications suggest that voting this time is going to be closer than ever. As it stands, there are three front-runners locked together.
Rory McArdle won the Telegraph & Argus/JCT600 award last season – but faces plenty of competition to retain the title.
With City’s season going so well, there are a host of potential candidates.
Defensively, the record has been excellent with Ben Williams setting a new club record of 24 clean sheets. In front of him, young loanee Reece Burke has played his part as well as skipper Stephen Darby, Nathan Clarke, James Meredith and, of course, McArdle.
In midfield, the likes of Tony McMahon, with his haul of assists and five goals, Lee Evans and Kyel Reid have all been mainstays in the push for the play-offs.
And up front, James Hanson, Steve Davies and Jamie Proctor have all chipped in with important goals.
The choice is entirely down to supporters and the winner will be announced at the Player of the Year awards evening on Tuesday, April 26.
Votes can be sent by post to Wendy James, Bradford City player of the year vote, Coral Windows Stadium, Valley Parade, Bradford BD8 7DY or via the link https://wendy148.typeform.com/to/uhWYDJ
The deadline is April 23.
