PHIL Parkinson admitted City were "second best" in every department in today's 3-1 loss at Burton.
Former Bantams loanees Mason Bennett and Tom Naylor were among the home scorers as the leaders cruised to the three points in the Pirelli Stadium rain.
"We were second best today," said Parkinson. "Their manager was better than me, their staff was better than our staff and their players were better than us.
"It was a hugely frustrating day and I'm not happy with the way we played. There were too many poor performances."
City still could have equalised before half-time but strikers Jamie Proctor, who was subbed at half-time, and James Hanson both missed good chances.
Parkinson added: "Those are chances few and far between against the top of the league and you've got to take them. They come at a premium at this level.
"You've got to make the keeper work in that period even when you haven't played well."
