FORMER Bradford City skipper Zesh Rehman's Foundation is among three nominees in the inspiration category at tomorrow night's Asian Football Awards at Wembley Stadium.
His foundation was set up to increase the change to perceptions and myths surrounding British Asians in football and increase their number of professional players.
Also nominated are Jasbir Batt (Birmingham FA), Football For Peace – Kashir Siddiqui Foundation and Mohammed Zafran (All 4 Youth CIC).
Former Albion Sports assistant coach Pav Singh, who has also been a Bradford City youth coach, has been nominated in the coaches' section.
He is up against Harj Singh (Skills Coach – The FA) and Manisha Tailor (CEO Swaggarlicious).
Yunus Lunat, a former Batley Boys' High School pupil, is down to the last three for the Behind The Scenes Award.
An employment law solicitor, he is a long-standing advisor to the Football Association and is a specialist in advising and representing people at sports disciplinary hearings before governing bodies, especially cases concerning allegations of discrimination and on-line communications.
Also nominated are Anwar Uddin (Football Supporters' Federation) and Harpreet Robertson (The FA).
Danny Batth (Wolves), Neil Taylor (Swansea City and Wales) and Adil Nabi (West Brom and Delhi Dynamoes) are up for the Player Award.
