CITY are waiting for confirmation on Paul Anderson’s injury but fear bad news.

The winger was taken straight to hospital for checks on his right leg after being helped off during the first half of this afternoon’s 2-0 home loss to Peterborough.

Phil Parkinson said: “He’s undergone an x-ray and whether we find out soon or later tonight, it didn’t look good.

“It was a lunging, late tackle by the lad in midfield and we knew as soon as it happened that it was not good.

“We’ve just got to keep our fingers crossed that it is not too bad.

“But it disrupted us, no doubt about that, more than it should have done.”
