PHIL Parkinson praised City for a “terrific” response after they drew 0-0 with Barnsley this afternoon.

Parkinson was scathing in his criticism after Tuesday’s home defeat to Gillingham – and was delighted to see the reaction at Oakwell from a team with six changes.

He said: “That was so much better. It was a committed, disciplined performance and as the game wore on, I thought we looked better with the ball and were the most likely team to win.

“You’ve got to earn the right to get something in this game. You’ve got to earn the right to wear the shirt with the Bradford City badge on. I felt the lads did that today.

“There was better commitment, better shape, better discipline and better mental toughness to see it through.”
