BRADFORD City co-chairman Julian Rhodes today reassured season ticket holders they will still be able to get tickets for the club's FA Cup quarter-final.

Thousands of fans queued up outside Valley Parade on Sunday to secure their seats for the club's last-eight against Reading on Saturday, March 7.

But frustrated season ticket holders had to queue up at the ground today and also wait for the club to contact them via email.

Mr Rhodes said: "From the numbers I have been given of tickets we have left, all season ticket holders will be accommodated.

"We had between 700 and 800 emails from season ticket holders on Monday and are ringing them up and sorting out tickets."

Club staff are working with external organisations to see if any additional seating can be made available for the game, such as in the north west corner.

A club statement also today apologised to its "most loyal group of supporters" for any stress caused by the ticketing situation for the cup tie.

It said: "We are sorry this situation has occurred and remain confident that all fans who are entitled to a ticket will receive a ticket and we will continue to work hard to achieving that conclusion in the next few days."

Meanwhile, at least one online ticket website is selling tickets for the Reading match with huge mark-ups, starting at just under £70 a ticket and rising to £663.94 for an executive box ticket. The same site also lists a ticket for up to £66,000 for the Shortside Lower Tier, although it seems likely that this is either a mistake or a prank.
