PHIL Parkinson has warned that City have become a target after toppling Chelsea.

Colchester head for Valley Parade on Saturday as the Bantams forget the FA Cup heroics and aim to rekindle their play-off push.

The U’s, where Parkinson got his first taste of management, currently occupy League One’s final relegation spot – and will be further pumped up by the chance to beat the team that shocked Jose Mourinho’s millionaires.

Parkinson said: “We’ve had the experience of that before and we’re expecting that kind of reaction from Colchester. We’ll tell the players to expect that so it won’t come as a surprise.

“It’s business as usual for us now. We had a fantastic weekend but it’s gone now and in football nothing stands still.

“There are three important league games before the next round, starting with a great game against a team fighting for their lives.

“Colchester will come up with a determination about them and we have to prepare ourselves to be at our best to match that.”

Parkinson gave some of the players who did not start at Stamford Bridge some game time yesterday in a private friendly with Burnley.
