I'VE been hibernating since Scotland got beaten by England.

We'd had our cup final the previous Friday night against Ireland and our reserves were probably a wee bit tired.

But I was up there the weekend before and it was good to see Stuart (McCall) getting the plaudits for their corner routine which won the Ireland game.

He'd just resigned at Motherwell but his budget was getting cut and cut. Maybe he should have left there earlier when his stock was high because he couldn't take them any further.

He had the opportunity to go back to Sheffield but his missus is settled up there. I don't know if he will come back down – maybe the only job he'd do that for is a return to Valley Parade in years to come.
